Mrs. Solms - Congratulations to Mrs. Solms for being named the Art Association of Madison County’s Thomas C. Jackson Award winner for her contributions to art education.  The award is named after Mr. Jackson who was an Art Teacher at Anderson High School in the 80s.  His positive encouragement in the arts will stay with his students for a lifetime.  He is quoted as saying, “On an ordinary and conventional day only the most distinctive will ever leave a truly lasting impression.”  That is exactly how I would describe Mrs. Solms.  Thank Cherie for your impact on the lives of students at MG for 27 years.

From Mr. Retherford (Principal) Mrs. Saathoff & Mrs. Solms - It was a pleasure for me to attend the Art Association of Madison County’s 27th Annual Student Exhibition on Sunday afternoon at the Anderson Museum of Art.  Madison-Grant was represented by 28+ pieces of student art in the exhibition.  While I know that I’m a little biased, I believe our students truly shined.  I’m thankful that we have two incredibly talented teachers at Madison-Grant that pour so much into their students.  Great job to Allison & Cherie.  The exhibit will continue to be on display through March 14th at the Anderson Museum of Art.  Hours are Monday-Thursday 12-5, Friday, 12-8, Saturday 11-5, and Sunday 2-5.  Free admission - you won’t be disappointed.
