A Message From Our Superintendent
Dear Madison-Grant Families,
We’d like to take a moment to acknowledge: the world has changed since March of 2020. We thank our whole community for coming together to give our students and families amazing opportunities with their support. We have become nimble and continued to grow our offerings during this unknown time because we know our students must still be career and college-ready in an ever-changing world. Our students have succeeded and continued to thrive at Madison-Grant in the face of the unknown.
We want to share how hard our team has worked to give our students and families the best opportunities around. I’d like to share with you just a few of the proud moments we’ve celebrated this past year and some exciting moments to look forward to as we move into the school year. These are the things possible when you have an amazing team and community dedicated to lifting up our youth. #WeAreMG
- The class of 2021 garnered $1.6 million in scholarships and awards and earned 1,866 in college credits.
- We have a student who achieved national recognition in our art department by earning "Gold Key" status and has their work displayed in New York and Washington D.C.
- Our preschool offerings achieved Level 3 ratings in Paths to Quality, recognized as High Quality preschool programs.
- We had two students graduate with enough dual credits to enter a four-year university as sophomores, and another as a junior!
- Over two hundred students and staff have volunteered in our community days at Summitville and Fairmount.
- Two students earned "A+" certifications in technology, which allows them to gainful employment prior to graduating.
- The United Way of Grant and Madison Counties recognized Madison-Grant for their community involvement and financial support.
- We've increased our college credit offerings to over 50 choices, saving our families over $600,000 in three years with credits from IU Kokomo, Indiana Wesleyan, Ivy Tech (Marion), and Vincennes University.
- Our Ag program has expanded into Agri-Business, and we look forward to new opportunities with the FFA.
- Last spring our girls’ softball and boys’ baseball won sectional championships and our other athletic teams continue to excel and allow for opportunities not often found at larger schools.
- Madison-Grant will offer 100% virtual or blended learning to help meet the needs of every student with our new virtual academies.
- We are producing clean solar energy on our junior-senior high campus, which demonstrates our commitment to a healthy environment and fiscal responsibility.
